INFO Mandolin

The mandolin is part of the “lute” family of plucked musical instruments.  Mandolins have four pairs of strings that are normally picked with a flat pick.  We are mainly concerned with the mandolin style made popular by the music of Bill Monroe, who is considered the “Father of Bluegrass Music”.  This powerful little instrument is great for beginners and is able to showcase the power and talent of world class musicians. The tablature and mp3s arrangements available are mainly in the bluegrass style, but some are also jazz or ragtime oriented.  We are adding to the website daily, so check back for more titles often.
